Christmas Once Again

You've done it again, Lord, one more year;
A moment when traffic stops, friends come near ~

Not business as usual, but loud and so clear;
All folk remembering CHRISTmas is here!

The street's almost empty; no scurrying about,
No angry horns honking, no fingers that shout
Nasty things without words. Peace is almost achieved,
Certainly for those who've already believed.

The 'best gift of all ages' is presented again,
In church plays depicting the babe on the hay.
But just think (brother, sister), what always remains;
The sweet invitation to rob earth's dark grave.

For, the soul is not dust. The invitation is yours!
Come join the family that forever endures;
With Light for the ages and Peace, Joy and Love,
The company of angels in regions above!
