Oasis

From the parched desert fields of sin,
I come to Calvary’s stream.
The blood red waters cover me.

When I rise up, I’m clean!
Not for the world’s examining eye,
Clean for eternity.
Not for some with a beam therein;
But, for the Lamb’s eye, clean!
Then... shall my feet turn back that way,
To parched and thirsty land?
Nay! I will stay within Love’s realm;
Be ruled by Mercy’s hand.
Oasis, in a foreign land,
Welcoming weary souls;
Come, dear one, come! Seek here and find
Salvation's cause and goal!
